We always thought that the MAN had been around for the last twenty years. But the more we began to uncover about Fitzpatrick, the more we began to doubt our own sanity.Several long-standing members of the Autonomous Collective were convinced that they had obsessed for too long over the MAN. And that they had lost touch with reality. Several weeks of intense therapy brought them back around. But they will never really be the same. More victims of the MAN.
Once we realized the truth about the MAN, our successes at uncovering his past multiplied a hundred times. We began finding photos and documentation that helped trace his activities deeper and deeper into the earliest part of our century. This was especially hard for us to believe at first--simply because all of our intelligence, our photos, our documents, everything said that Fitzpatrick was in his late 40s. And this is his true age.
Janus Primm Fitzpatrick was 48 years old on February 17, 2237 A.D.. What we know about Fitzpatrick's first 48 years is very little. We know he was an influentual supporter of science and history in his time. And we know that he murdered a scientist named Dr. Franklin Jones, the man who will one day solve the puzzle of the fifth dimension, allowing for time travel to be a reality. And we know that Dr. Jones' discovery and a massive amount of historical information on the 20th century were brought with Fitzpatrick into the year 1908.
What Fitzpatrick failed to bring with him through time is his mortality. Apparently, one side-effect of traveling back in time is the freezing of the aging process. According to our best theories, Fitzpatrick is not aging because he hasn't been born yet. And until the year 2189, Fitzpatrick will remain untouched by the effects of aging.
Since 1908, Fitzpatrick has used his knowledge of our time to implement his master plan. He has constantly stayed a thousand steps ahead of everyone that has stood before him. His access to our history before it has happened has made him rich and powerful beyond compare.
Today, the MAN has complete control over the world's communication systems and computer systems, television, radio, satellites. He owns them all. He owns the companies that have made them. He owns the people that have developed them. He owns the governments that have supported them.
The MAN has people in every office in every city in every country in the world. He has a communication network and the most advanced computer programming known to our time that keeps the information working to support his master plan.
The MAN's master plan is simple. Crush his enemies. Capitalize on knowledge. Delude the unsuspecting. Enslave the world.
